Biography

Dr Yibin Feng is currently an Associate Professor cum Assistant director (education) in School of Chinese Medicine. He is reviewers and editors for many national and international journals. Being an expert in the study of Pharmacology and Toxicology of Chinese medicines, Dr. Feng’s research interest focuses on clinical trial and experimental study of cancer, liver, kidney and diabetic diseases by using recently developed techniques in OMICS, pharmacology and immunology. He has published over 150 proceedings, abstracts, full papers and books in these areas. In recent years, his research was supported by grants from The University of Hong Kong, RGC GRFs, Pong Ding Yueng Endowment Fund for Education & Research in Chinese-Western Medicine, Wong’s Donation for molecular cancer research in Chinese medicines, The donation of Gaia Family Trust, Hong Kong Government-Matching fundings and Hong Kong Hospital Authority’s funding for Chinese Medicine as well as HKU Teaching Development Grant etc. His major research areas and research topics are standardization and quality control of Chinese Medicines, pharmacological screening and safety evaluation of Chinese Medicines; pharmacological action and its mechanism of Chinese Medicines, clinical trial of Chinese medicines, and Chinese medicine Education. He also commits to do substitute research for some endangered species used in Chinese Medicine.
