AbstractThis paper contains a preliminary look at the 2007 data from the Hong Kong CAP study. It includes basic information about the sample and methodology, as well as a review of selected data about the profile of academic staff and their views about working conditions, management and internationalism. The paper also makes reference to selected data gathered in 1993 and 1999. Finally, the paper provides a brief summary and some thoughts about possible directions for future research on Hong Kong’s changing academic profession.
