Abstract

Objective The aim of this study was to develop and validate the Ningbo version of the Digit Triplet Test (DTT). Methods Digits from 0-10 were recorded by female adults who were native speakers of Ningbo dialect. Ningbo DTT materials were developed via optimization. The psychometric function of the Ningbo DTT was calculated and its test reliability was evaluated by 21 native speakers with normal hearing. Results After level correction, all 11 digits were included in the test material while being combined into triplet items. The slope of the fitted psychometric function curve for the Ningbo DTT was 18.3 %/dB, and the speech recognition threshold on adaptive measurement was -11.8 ± 1.3 dB SNR, with a measurement error of 0.6 dB. Conclusion The standardized Ningbo DTT developed in this study has good psychometric function parameters and test-retest reliability.
