AbstractWe experimentally observe dissipative soliton resonance in a thulium-doped fiber laser operating in the anomalous dispersion regime. The laser output exhibits broad quasi-Gaussian spectra (~38 nm) centered at 1970 nm. The system is subsequently applied to spectrally encoded confocal microscopy.
