AbstractThis study was aimed at examining the relation between social adaptation and two components of executive functioning, namely working social and inhibition within Hong Kong adolescents at a mean age of 16.75 (n = 159). They were invited to complete an online questionnaire. Results from a multiple regression analysis revealed that working memory is positively correlated to social adaptation. The association between inhibition and social adaptation, however, is found to be non-significant. The finding interpretations, limitations, and future direction of this study are further discussed.
