Abstract如今,STEM(科學、科技、工程、數學)教育在K-12基礎教育中的推廣已經在全球範圍掀起熱議。其中,人們逐漸對STEM中的「工程」提高了重視,認為工程是將各學科與實際生活結合的樞紐,它能夠讓學生在動手動腦的同時享受快樂的學習。目前,在香港基礎教育學科中促進STEM在教學中的運用存在諸多挑戰。其中,老師方面的因素不可忽視。本文參考之前對當地一家小學老師的訪問結果及相關文獻,就如何幫助老師提高STEM課程相關知識和技能進行了探討。本次研究希望能夠引起STEM教育領域對教師專業發展(professional development)方面的重視,為日後與STEM教育教師培訓研究提供參考。 As STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education has become a hot topic of K-12 education, the teaching approach of integrating engineering into curricula is gaining an increasing attention. Engineering is believed to connect knowledge with authentic life experiences while it enables students an enjoyable hands-on experience of problem solving and logical thinking. In Hong Kong, the integration of STEM education faces challenges, whereas teachers’ challenges cannot be neglected. We have arranged a series of teachers’ professional development (PD) activities among primary school teachers in a local school, and this paper introduces how teachers’ training has been designed based on previous research through interviews and how they were conducted. This paper calls for attention on teachers’ PD about STEM education and has the significance of providing references for future research in this regard.
