Content Analysis: Juvenile Delinquency in the Press. In SAGE Research Methods Cases. UK: SAGE Publications Ltd, 2017 How to Cite?
AbstractThis case provides insight into a content analysis of press articles on juvenile delinquency during a climate of intense debate which was also triggered by state election campaigns. It combines quantitative and qualitative elements and gives the reader an idea of how to approach content analysis and its challenges. This research methods case approaches my master's thesis project in a rather chronological order, providing primarily information about how I dealt with the method in order to get answers to my research questions and how I dealt with some difficulties that arose in the course of this one-semester project. I supplement the notes on my own approach by more abstract information about the methodology and some peculiarities.
