Abstract | This study presents findings of a survey on students from 27 secondary schools in Hong Kong. It aims to
understand the newly arrived children’s information and communication technology (ICT) usage at home
compared with that of Hong Kong local students. Findings reveal four types of ICT usage at home, and
significant differences between the two groups of students in terms of ‘information search and learning’
and ‘online surfing and shopping’. Implications of findings are discussed. |
