AbstractPrefabrication construction has been widely used in the public housing in Hong Kong. This paper presents an RFID-enabled Building Information Modeling (BIM) platform (RBIMP) for facilitating the decision-making and operational executions throughout prefabrication production, prefab components transportation, and on-site assembly. This platform uses cutting-edge technologies such as core technique in Internet of Things (IoT) Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Cloud computing, and service-oriented architecture (SOA). A case from Hong Kong Housing Authority was presented to demonstrate how the designed and developed RBIMP could be used in practice for easing the typical stakeholders to fulfill their daily operations
