AbstractSeveral simple runoff models are developed in the study for evaluating rainwater collection capacity in Hong Kong at daily, weekly, monthly and annual temporal scales. The motivation of developing these simple models is for providing rational and easy-using tools for estimating water resources at different temporal scales. The regression method is applied to identify the relationship among rainfall, temperature and runoff. The paper will show that the simple models can represent the rainfall to runoff at a simple manner at different temporal scales with certain accuracy.
