Abstract | Assessment of the productivity of education researchers represents a “high stakes test” for individual researchers and for research institutions. The results of research assessments have consequences for individuals and institutions and for design of researcher preparation programs. Our panel, representing researchers from several countries and from a variety of research institutions, will discuss the actual measures used to evaluate education researchers in these varied settings and will provide recommendations for more useful procedures. |
