AbstractNumbers are associated with space. Is such association due to the quantity or ordinal aspect of numbers? Kindergarteners exhibited spatial-numerical association with ordinal numbers but not with non-numerical quantities, pointing to the ordinal aspect of numbers as the origin of spatial-numerical association.
