Abstract | Multi-core technology is revolutionizing the the development of concurrent and computational intensive applications deemed impossible in the recent past. Due to the breath and depth of the impacts introduced by the technology, computing education in China is facing unprecedented challenges. The objective of this paper is to address the current education challenges in accommodating multi-core technology in the core curriculum of the Department of Computer Science in Shantou University, for educating future generations of engineers for the rapidly evolving multi-core industry.
