AbstractMultilevel fast multipole algorithm (MLFMA) is successfully implemented in Fast Illinois Solver Code (FISC) to speed up matrix-vector multiply in solving integral equations. Specifically, FISC is a very efficient frequency-domain code and has evolved close to 10 million unknowns in the scattering form a VFY218 at 8 GHz. Thus, applying FISC to broadband time-domain calculations to simulate transient scattered fields improves the frequency loops.
