Abstract | This paper is an application of the nonlinear decentralized robust control to the multimachine power systems. A decentralized excitation controller is designed explicitly to maintain a transiently stable closed-loop system at the present of uncertain network parameters. The effect of persistent disturbance whose bound is not known as a priori is effectively attenuated. The simulation of the proposed controller on a two-generator infinite bus power system shows the transient stability is greatly enhanced at different conditions of operation points, fault locations and network parameters. |
