Abstract | This paper considers stability results for nonlinear second-order systems which do not satisfy usual symmetry conditions. Undisturbed system and also a system under high-gain linear feedback are considered. Necessary and sufficient conditions are derived using stability properties of auxiliary systems and bounds relating the level of damping to the asymmetry of the system matrices. |
