AbstractThere has been much discussion in recent literature on the question of robustness properties of adaptive control algorithms. The point of view adopted in this paper is that a 'robust' adaptive control algorithm is simply a combination of a 'robust' control law with a 'robust' parameter estimator. Since the constituent algorithms are themselves robust, we have coined the term adaptive robust control rather than the usual term robust adaptive control.
