| Abstract | SUMMARY: In this paper, the use of acupuncture for voice disorders will be explained from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective. The methodology and results of a randomized controlled trial on a standardized acupuncture protocol for different types of phonotraumatic lesions will be described and discussed. The clinical implications of acupuncture for voice disorders will also be discussed. LEARNER OUTCOMES: The Participant will be able to explain the use of acupuncture for voice disorders from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective; and, discuss the treatment effect of acupuncture for different types of phonoatraumatic lesions. |
