Dr Tsao, Jack 曹智杰
Dr Jack Tsao is the Associate Director and Senior Lecturer at the Common Core, the core undergraduate interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary curriculum at the University of Hong Kong. As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Advance (UK), he is passionate about promoting teaching excellence by exploring improvisation, design thinking, gaming, storytelling, and digital technologies. Jack earned his PhD in Education from the University of Queensland, and focuses on education futures, researching comparative and international education, student and youth aspirations, creative and transdiscipinary education, the sociology of education, and artificial intelligence.
Previous to his academic career, Jack has over 15 years of industry experience, holding various leadership roles in organisational learning and development, commercial banking, and entrepreneurship. As a leadership and communications consultant at a global consulting firm, he trained and coached executives and professionals from multinational corporations spanning diverse sectors, including banking, finance, education, healthcare, construction, FMCG, and government organizations.
