Dr Choi, Pui Hang 蔡沛恒
Dr Edmond Choi is a registered nurse in Hong Kong. He completed his Master of Philosophy degree in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in the School of Nursing at HKU. During his studies at HKU, he was also a resident tutor at Starr Hall and an honorary tutor in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care.
Dr. Choi holds a strong research interest in the fields of health services research, mental health, health-related quality of life and sexual health. During his time in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary care, he contributed to two large primary care health services research projects commissioned by the Food and Health Bureau in Hong Kong, including the evaluation of the quality of care of chronic disease management programmes and public-private partnership programmes of the Hospital Authority, as well as the epidemiology and natural history of depressive disorders in primary care. Aside from health services research in primary care, he is also interested in behavioural health, particularly sexual behaviours. Therefore, his doctoral study investigated the sexual health of young adults in Hong Kong. He has been a co-investigator of six research grants. He has published more than 35 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has received seven awards for conference presentations. He was also the recipient of the YS and Christabel Lung Postgraduate Scholarship in 2015 and 2016.
