Dr Cheung, Yu Yan 張語殷
Dr. Cheung obtained her PhD degree (2011) and MPH degree (2017) from the University of Hong Kong. She is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong.
Since PhD training, Dr. Cheung has been focused on the genetic studies of cardiometabolic diseases in Southern Chinese, the findings of which have been published in various international peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Communications, Diabetes, Diabetologia and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism. She is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong, where she is continuing her research on the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases, obesity, type 2 diabetes and its related complications, as part of a large team including expertise in epidemiology, genetics, biostatistics, biomarker discovery and bioinformatics.
