AbstractThis invention provides an isolated nucleic acid which defines a yellow submarine locus. This invention provides an isolated nucleic acid which defines a mutant yellow submarine locus, wherein the mutant yellow submarine locus is identical to a wildtype yellow submarine locus except for an integration of a pAA2 transgene into at least one region on a chromosome. This invention provides an isolated nucleic acid which defines a human locus which corresponds to a yellow submarine locus. This invention provides an isolated nucleic acid which defines a human locus which corresponds to a mutant yellow submarine locus containing a pAA2 transgene integrated into at least one region the genome.
