AbstractA novel polyoxometalate {P2 V W18 VI Ni4 (H2 O)2 O68 [Ni (en)2 (H2 O)]2} [Ni (en)3]2 [Ni (en)2 (H2 O)2] · 14 H2 O (1) has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectrum, ESR spectrum and single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. It is a novel Weakley-type POM supported transition metal coordination complex, also it contains a novel (H2O)14 water cluster in the structure. The study of the magnetic susceptibility of 1 demonstrates the presence of ferromagnetic interactions. © 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
