AbstractThe Scaling properties of coupled optical interface modes in Fibonacci dielectric superlattices are investigated. In the dielectric continuum approximation, the frequency spectra are found to have two sets of dual triadic Cantor structures. This duality is also reflected in the distributions of electric fields. Scaling and multifractal analyses are used to establish that the frequency spectra are all singular continuous and the eigenstates are critical.
