AbstractThe subdermal-plexus skin grafts possess excellent aesthetic quality provided they survive. The failure rate, however, is of the order of 10% or more, and the hypothesis of improved graft survival by the subdermal-plexus circulation is open to dispute. In view of this, they should not be performed indiscriminately, and only in situations where skin is of good quality and a healthy recipient bed is available.
