Abstract | The exhaust emissions from spark ignition vehicles were modelled using a power based emission model which has been validated using the chassis dynamometer test data of the Australia Federal Office of Road Safety (FORS). The predicted concentrations of CO, HC and NOx lie within the same range as the measured values. The model was applied to study the emission characteristics under different vehicle speeds and road steepness conditions. |
