AbstractGrid technology can be utilized as a base to design the novel distributed power system control centers, to achieve desired features of comprehensive decentralization, integration, flexibility and openness. A grid service-based future control center framework is proposed. The feasibility and implementation strategies of the framework are then discussed. The core components, including grid portal, data service, application service, security service and other supporting services, are studied as well. This paper gives some suggestions for the further research.
