AbstractIn a recent case, the Court of First Instance held that for awards made on the Mainland before 1997, enforcement should have been refused for lack of jurisdiction if the application for leave to enforce the award was made after the change of sovereignty but before the Arbitration (Amendment) Ordinance 2000 came into effect.
