AbstractWe discuss the implementation of a multi agent based Tourism Kiosk for Hong Kong tourism industry on the Internet. This system allows the users to retrieve the most updated information about Hong Kong through any Java enabled Web browser. The complete system consists of a set of software agents who handle various information categories, such as hotels, shopping centres, and cinemas, etc. The Knowledge Query and Manipulation Language (KQML) was selected as the agent communication language to develop our system, which takes care the exchange of information among agents. The users are able to send their queries to the system, then the system will dispatch one or more agents, depending on the analysis of the query, to search for and retrieve information for the users.
