Article: Limits of pulse shortening in solitary lasers

TitleLimits of pulse shortening in solitary lasers

AbstractThe influence of dispersive pulse-broadening effects on femtosecond pulse formation in solid-state lasers has been investigated. Empirical formulas are derived from computer simulations, which permits the estimation of the magnitude of performance-limiting effects in practical solid-state systems. © 1992 Optical Society of America.
