| Abstract | Recent advances in the generation of sub-fs XUV pulses and attosecond metrology have opened up the possibility to trace the time evolution of electronic wave packets inside atoms in pump–probe experiments. The electron spectra as a function of pump–probe delay give information on the different time-scales involved in the decay process. We present streaking images for a coherently excited pair of nearby Fano resonances. Possibilities to extract information on both the resonance parameters and the excitation process will be discussed. © 2006 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC. |
