AbstractThe spectral range over which a chirped mirror is capable of introducing tailored dispersion can be extended to one octave by tilting the front (air) interface of the coating with respect to other interfaces of the multilayer. In addition, the elimination of adverse interference effects also results in a significant smoothening of the group delay dispersion versus wavelength.
