Abstract

Ptychography is a widely used coherent imaging technique across many imaging modalities, especially microscopy. Reconstruction algorithms are important to obtain the final imaging results from a series of captured diffraction patterns. Conventional reconstruction algorithms only regard phase retrieval as an intermediate step in each iteration. The retrieved phase is lost and cannot be used in the following iterations. In this Letter, we introduce an auxiliary variable related to the phase information of the diffraction patterns in the iterative algorithms, which can make the history phase information available for future iterations. Simulation and experimental results show that our algorithm can achieve higher-quality reconstruction results than other commonly used algorithms.
