Chinese version of the Food related Quality of Life and its reliability and validity test

Abstract

<div><b>Objective</b>：To translate the Food ‐ related Quality of Life（FRQoL） into Chinese，and to test its validity and reliability in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. <br></div><div><b>Methods</b>：FRQoL was translated into Chinese according to Brislin translation model after being authorized by the author of the scale. 5 experts were invited to form an expert group to make cultural adjustment to the scale. The Chinese version of FRQoL was formed after pre‐investigation. A total of 330 patients with inflammatory bowel disease who were treated in 2 tertiary grade A hospitals in Yangzhou city from December 2022 to July 2023 were selected by convenience sampling method to test the reliability and validity. <br></div><div><b>Results:</b>The Chinese version of FRQoL included 25 items. The item ‐ level content validity index（I ‐ CVI）ranged from 0. 833 to 1. 000. The scale ‐ level content validity index（S ‐ CVI） was 0. 978. Exploratory factor analysis extracted one common factor with eigenvalue>1，whose eigenvalue was 16. 833. The cumulative contribution rate of variance was 67. 334%，and the factor load of all items was >0. 4. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the model fit well. The Cronbach's α coefficient of the total volume table was 0. 986，and the split half reliability was 0. 967. The total score of Chinese version of FRQoL were positively correlated with the total score of Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire and the scores of 4 dimensions of intestinal symptoms，systemic symptoms，emotional function and social function（P<0. 01）.<b> </b><br></div><div><b>Conclusions</b>：The Chinese version of FRQoL has good reliability and validity in Chinese patients with inflammatory bowel disease，and it can be used to measure patients' food‐related quality of life.</div>

目的:将食物相关生活质量量表（Food‐related Quality of Life，FRQoL）进行汉化，并在炎症性肠病病人中进行信效度检验。 方法:在获得原量表作者授权后，遵循 Brislin 翻译模式对 FRQoL 进行汉化，并邀请 5 名专家组成专家小组，对量表进行文化调适，经预调查后形成中文版 FRQoL。选择 2022 年 12 月—2023 年 7 月在扬州市 2 所三级甲等医院就诊的 330 例炎症性肠病病人进行调查，检验量表的信效度。 结果:修订后的中文版 FRQoL 包括 25 个条目。中文版 FRQoL 条目水平的内容效度指数（I‐CVI）为 0. 833~1. 000，量表水平的内容效度指数（S‐CVI）为 0. 978。探索性因子分析提取特征值>1 的公因子 1 个，其特征值为 16. 833，解释总方差的 67. 334%，所 有 条 目 的 因 子 载 荷>0. 4。验 证 性 因 子 分 析 显 示 各 项 拟 合 指 标 均 达 标。总 Cronbach's α 系 数 和 折 半 信 度 分 别 为0. 986，0. 967。中文版 FRQoL 总分和炎症性肠病生活质量问卷总分及肠道症状、全身症状、情感功能、社会功能维度得分均呈正相关（P<0. 01）。 结论:中文版 FRQoL 在我国炎症性肠病病人中具有良好的信效度，可用于测量病人与食物相关的生活质量。
