段玉裁《春秋》研究芻議

Abstract

<p>段玉裁的文字學、古音學成就早已廣為學界所關注,就其經學,時賢則探論較少。本文即對段玉裁畢生鑽研、晚力用力尤深的《春秋》類著述研究作初步整理,通過梳理其校訂經傳的工作,包括比照《說文解字注》等重要論著,了解其《春秋》研究的歷程及大旨。據本文考察,段玉裁研治《春秋》以《左傳》為重點,從文字訓詁、校勘切入,有意識區別並探研經、傳、注、疏之不同層次及原貌,發明義例,冀能逼近其原貌及義理。段氏對《左傳》曾作過大量校勘工作,特重理校,此為其研究中最突出、亦是最具爭議之處,雖然其中一小部分融經義闡釋於校勘,屬於「經學校勘」,但是大部分都有版本、訓詁等實據,特別是建基於文獻語言特質及規律之探求,或發明古音假借,或論字形構意與詞義之關係,或探及構詞及語法,或取《說文》與經傳互證,此方為其《春秋》研究最具學術價值者。以上探討,冀能加深對段氏學術之整體認識,推進相關研究的發展。</p><p><br></p>

Duan Yucai's works in Chinese philology and historical phonology have received much attention in studies about the academic achievements, investigations into his scholarship on Confucian Classics remain rare. This paper aims to provide a preliminary overview of Duan Yucai's lifelong research on the Spring and Autumn Annals, with a particular focus on his later works. By examining his work on collating and annotating the classics, including important texts such as Shuowen Jiezi Zhu, this study seeks to understand the process and main objectives of Duan's research on the Spring and Autumn Annals. This study points out that Duan Yucai's study focused on the Zuo Zhuan. He approached the text from the perspective of philology and textual criticism, consciously distinguishing and exploring the different layers and original appearances of the classics, commentaries, annotations, and exegeses.
