Abstract

Glaucoma is a common eye disease. When the optic nerve at the optic nerve head (ONH) is damaged by shearing, permanent blindness may occur, that is, glaucoma. Lamina Cribrosa (LC) structure is located in the optic nerve head and closely connected with sclera. LC structure can affect or even determine whether the optic nerve passing through it will be damaged by shearing. Therefore, exploring LC morphology is one of the keys to study the cause and progress of glaucoma. The purpose of this study is to analyze how different LC anterior surface morphology affects the distribution and magnitude of shear stress and nerve damage, so as to determine the critical areas with more obvious shear effect on LC anterior surface, so as to provide valuable information for clinical practice and call on scientific researchers to conduct further research.
