AbstractThis paper aims to analyze BIM policies using data analysis software. Over recent years, BIM has become widespread in the construction industry, leading to policy development by various countries. BIM, as a key tool for digital building design and management, is crucial for the industry's growth. This study aims to assess the impact of policies on BIM technology's development, including adoption, research & development, personnel training, and construction implementation. A comparative analysis of global BIM policies, challenges, and policy implications will be summarized, providing insights for BIM's further application and advancement. This study aims to investigate the implementation and effectiveness of these BIM policies using data analysis software. Research significance: Gaining an understanding of BIM policy implementation and its effects holds immense practical and theoretical importance in comprehending the application of BIM in the construction industry, like policy formulation and promotion. The study will cover two aspects: BIM policy documents and case studies. The case studies will involve the analysis of specific projects or events to explore the application and impact of BIM policies in practice. Collected data will include information on BIM application and policy implementation. Data collection methods will include literature review, case study interviews, project document analysis, and online surveys. This study consolidated BIM policies from both domestic and international contexts while introducing the functions and characteristics of data analysis software. Subsequently, a research framework be established, alongside the selection of appropriate research methods. Data collection and processing: Pertinent BIM policy documents and case studies had been gathered, with data analysis software aiding in data processing and analysis. Research findings and analysis: Utilizing data analysis software, the collected data has be analyzed to ascertain the state of BIM policy implementation and its influence. During the formulation and execution of Building Information Model (BIM) policies, it is crucial to quantitatively evaluate the developmental benefits these policies offer. This evaluation allows for a comprehensive understanding of policy effectiveness, enabling further policy optimization. This study used Nvivo and SPSS data analysis software to utilize to deeply analyze data collected both prior to and following the introduction of BIM policies. This study collected data pertaining to various aspects of BIM technology application, including the rate of technology promotion, proficiency levels of enterprises and engineers in skills training, project efficiency, and profitability. A comprehensive analysis of BIM policy development in China has been undertaken. The paper is organized into eight sections: introduction, BIM technology overview, BIM policy background in China, BIM policy development stages in China, BIM policy impact in China, BIM policy evaluation in China, international comparisons and references, and conclusion. This detailed and organized examination delves into the BIM policy's formation, influence, and evaluation in China, aiming to offer insights for its further development. This study finally analyzed the data results and found that there is a positive correlation between policy and technological development. It also found that China's current BIM policy development has bottlenecks. At the end of the article, it puts forward opinions on the development of BIM policy.
