| Abstract | In this paper, from the two aspects of monophonic words and polyphonic
words, the common words with auxiliary meaning in bronze inscriptions are
sorted out, and combined with examples, the semantic field of synonyms is
studied. At the same time, this paper analyzes the shape of the corresponding
words of auxiliary synonyms and distinguishes other definitions, so as to explore
the special relationship between words and characters involved, clarify the basic
features and application rules of synonyms in bronze inscriptions, grasp the
development and evolution of ancient Chinese synonyms, and understand the
basic characteristics of the whole Chinese vocabulary system.
