Abstract

Unlike typical university campuses, the China Academy of Art Liangzhu Campus features a spatial structure consisting of horizontally sparse and continuous serrated workshops, as well as vertically stacked dormitories, libraries, exhibition halls, and sports halls. The basic spatial feature is the open and free workshops created by homogeneous and pure wood grain concrete, advocating a new campus lifestyle of "Live-Study". This is a collaboration between architects and the China Academy of Art, which comprehensively implements the concept of "Live-Study", the program and space, and then engages in interdisciplinary cooperation with teaching, practicing the concept of "live is learning, school is community, learning is production, and education is dissemination".
