| Abstract | The greening of cities is a pursuit that has been a long standing and integral part of the urban development history of human settlements. More than any other urban elements, urban vegetation and the fauna associated with it, underscore the flawed notion that nature is only pristine and has no place in cities. Urban vegetation indeed, represents the most powerful and visible expression that nature has been, and should continue to be an inseparable part of the way cities are planned and managed. |
