Abstract | This study investigate the groundwater flow in the mangrove mud-flat wetland.
Submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) refers to all groundwater flows discharged
into the sea through the land-sea interface, including terrestrial freshwater and
recirculated seawater. In order to track several environmental and geophysical
phenomena, including Submarine groundwater discharge, ²²²Rn has shown to be an
effective instrument. The radioactive isotope radon (²²²Rn) is used in this study's
geochemical tracer approach together with a salinity analysis. We find that the water
stage fluctuation is more active near the submarine area. According to the radon value,
the layer of silt clay may be found between 1.6 and 2.6 meters deep. During the dry
season, the salinity analysis shows that the rate of seawater recirculation is slower.
