Conference Paper: Organizational Embeddedness and Work-to-Family Conflict: A Moderated Mediation Model

TitleOrganizational Embeddedness and Work-to-Family Conflict: A Moderated Mediation Model
Authors
Issue Date30-Apr-2022
Abstract

Data collected from employees and their spouses show that employees’ organizational embeddedness were positively related to their work initiative outside the workplace and outside normal work hours, which in turn were positively related to their work-to-family conflict. The sequence is stronger for individuals who hold highly traditional values, highly individualistic values, and high power distance values. Thus, organizational embeddedness creates challenges in employees’ personal and marital lives, although that effect is moderated by their value differences.
