Abstract

Is youth prolonged social withdrawal behaviour (a.k.a. hikikomori) one form of suicidal behaviour? SIcne both youth risk behaviours seem to share similar predictive factors, this talk will explore whether hikikomori is one form of self-harm behaviours. In addition, I will share some of the work our team has been implementing locally to prevent and deal with both behaviours in Hong Kong.
