Abstract | In the book Chu Ci, the question of the authorship of eight works, Jiu Ge, Jiu Zhang,
Yuan You, Bu Ju, Yu Fu, Jiu Bian, Zhao Hun and Da Zhao has always been a hot topic
of debate in academic circles. Different scholars have put forward different views on
how to determine the authors of these eight works, and this dissertation believes that
each individual and each group has its own unique habits in using words, so this
dissertation chooses to start from "personal pronouns", take "personal pronouns" as
the criterion for author identification, and achieve the results of identifying the authors
of the above eight works by analyzing, summarizing and comparing the use of
"personal pronouns" in each work in Chu Ci.
First of all, this dissertation will carefully analyze the use of “personal pronouns” in
all works in Chu Ci, and then, sort out the use of “personal pronouns” in the nine
works of Li Sao, Tian Wen, Xi Shi, Zhao Yin Shi, Qi Jian, Ai Shi Ming, Jiu Huai, Jiu Tan and Jiu Si ,which have identified authors. After the sorting, the writing habits of
Qu Yuan and the Han Dynasty literati in using “personal pronouns” in the creation of
"Chu Ci" works can be summarized. After that, this dissertation will carefully
compare Qu Yuan and the Han Dynasty literati with the eight controversial article on
thier choice of words and grammatical functions of “personal pronouns”. After all the
analyzing, summarizing and comparing, the authors of the eight controversial works
will be eventually identified according to the results of the comparison.
