AbstractThis dissertation examines the Single Letting Manager (SLM) approach as a means of revitalizing Hong Kong's fresh market assets. This study emphasizes on assets managed by the LINK REIT. Data was collected with the use of both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Based on the research findings, SLM approach can effectively address challenges associated with fresh market asset revitalization, such as low occupancy rates, poor tenant mix, and deteriorating physical conditions. The approach involves appointing a single manager responsible for leasing and managing the entire asset, with an emphasis on tenant mix, physical environment, and customer experience. Overall, this study contributes to the understanding of fresh market asset revitalization using the SLM approach and provides insights that can be applied in Hong Kong local wet markets. The findings also highlight the need for further research to explore the broader applicability of the SLM approach in the revitalization of other types of real estate assets.
