AbstractIn this issue of Chem, Jin and coworkers have reported the efficient synthesis of a series of Borromean rings (BRs), through which they achieved template-free BR formation with high yields in a highly controllable manner. They further show that these BRs can be utilized to separate halogenated aromatic compounds efficiently.
