AbstractThe Paraquat dication forms a 1:1 molecular inclusion complex both in acetone solution and in the solid state with the bisparaphenylene-34-crown-10 derivative (BPP34C10) as a result of intra-complex stabilisation from charge transfer interactions as well as from hydrogen and electrostatic bonding.
