AbstractThis dissertation seeks to illuminate the experiences of South Asians with Hong Kong frontline police and their implications on their trust in the criminal justice system. This study discusses the role of social differences and identities in shaping the experiences of South Asians with the frontline police in Hong Kong, the racial trauma of South Asians as a result of their experiences and the further implications that result in creating a distrust of the criminal justice system. Through employing the lens of intersectionality, the study has shed light on the racialized, classed and gendered victimization of the South Asian community in Hong Kong.
