Abstract | Based on the data of cross sections and organic geochemical measurements, the authors analyzed the distribution characteristics, organic matter abundance, organic matter type and organic matter maturity index of hydrocarbon source rock of Hongqi Formation from well ZK-WJT in Tuquan basin. The result shows that the thickness of dark mudstone is 113.0 m. The TOC content ranges from 0.56 to 6.24 weight percent with an average value of about 1.90 weight percent. According to the relationships between the ratios of Pr/n-C17 and the ratios of Ph/n-C18 as well as steranes C27-C28-C29 triangular diagram, the organic matter is of II1 type. The characteristics of vitrinite reflectance range from 1.26 to 1.73 percent with an average value of about 1.37 percent and Tmax ranges from 489°C to 517°C with an average value of about 507.6°C. These data show that the source rocks have turned into mature to high mature stage. It is concluded that the hydrocarbon source rocks of Hongqi Formation in Tuquan basin have good hydrocarbon generation potential. |
