AbstractMicrostructure and properties of Q235B/304L stainless steel clad plate under different reduction ratio in hot rolling process were researched. The test results show that the interface of stainless steel clad plate is flat, and ferrite and pearlite exist in carbon steel side. The volume fraction of pearlite in the steel increases with reduction ratio increasing. A certain depth of decarburized layer exists in the carbon steel side. The width of diffusion layer of carbon element, which appears as the white band region, and decreases with reduction ratio increasing. Density of the oxide of Si-Mn which distributes along the diffusion layer decreases with reduction ratio increasing. Shear strength of stainless steel clad plate is much higher than 210 MPa of national standard. Shear strength increases with reduction ratio increasing.
